Ilia groeide op tussen tapijten en knopers, in een familie die het vak al vier generaties van dichtbij kent. Sinds de galerie in Maastricht haar deuren opende, zet hij de traditie voort die begon in Teheran en via Maasmechelen haar weg vond naar Limburg. Ilia is de specialist achter reiniging, restauratie en nazorg van elk tapijt — met traditionele technieken, zonder agressieve chemicaliën, en oog voor het karakter van ieder stuk.
